Recognized by sight: This conk in Not Varnished, is fully established by the month of May. None of our PNW reishi even begin to form fruit bodies until early August. This is 100% not a Ganoderma, much less G. Oregonense. Furthermore, if this species was a"leftover" from the prior summer it would certainly not have any white growth remaining, or spore production evident.
