i can see both sides…
There appears to be quite a bit of misunderstanding about how citizen science (and taxonomic progress in general) happens.
Having been involved in this kind of data gathering for other taxa has given me perspective on why these kind of observations have their place (even without specimens).
I’ll try and get it done this weekend.
i could “kind of” see the point if there was a specimen collected.
but, according to the notes…there is “No herbarium specimen?”
yes, it’s a crappy photo, but it is intended to tie an MO record to a specimen (aren’t you always harping about how that is important?).
Sarcastically rating it as ‘Great’ makes the problem worse.
