For your help on this “myxomop”. I had not even considered this to be something other than a fungus. Obviously, I know very little about fungi, but I thought if I could easily peel it off the log it must be a fungus rather than a slime mold.

Dictydiaethalium plumbeum, possibly (but I expected it to be slimy at the pink stage…)?

Looks beaded or pebbly. Found in bottomland woods in very wet conditions
