Stemonitis splendens

tops are .5-2 cm high with a stalk height 3-5mm long, giving the total maximum height 25mm. Thus the stalk would be one-fith of the total height.
S. fusca has a stalk usually more than one-quarter total height. Based on this I would venture to say that this may be S. fusca. Reason?
I enlarged your photos and measured them with a metric rule. Scientific? Maybe, but that is the best idea I could envision. If you can retrieve some spores and scope them it would be beneficial. In any event I learned something new.

I never heard of S fusca before and only read about and saw F. splendens on a few occasions. I will do more research on F. fusca, and try to comment more at a later date.
