Collected and ID’d by Dr. Else Vellinga and I don’t know if she had an opportunity to look at them under a scope. My job was simply to record the photos and they are NOT the best for this tiny beast.

this would have been a prime candidate for microscopy…

I suppose it was checked in the microscope – for cystidia and things..?
Otherwise, I wouldn’t rule out some kind of Hohenbuehelia.
