H. laetissima?

Arora mentions H. laetissima as having a brighter red cap (evident in your first photo), and a white stalk when young (background specimen in second photo)… But Hygrocybe punicea is definitely variable and these look very close.

This seems to fit well with the american punicea, different from the european one..
