Several patches of very bitter…

Tylos routinely occur on my property during summer. I think they are mostly, if not all, T. rubrobrunneus. Cap coler varies somewhat between purplish and dull brown. Stipe color is also variable, sometimes brownish. The specimen in this obs seems to show a bit of olive mottled into the color of the upper 20% or so of the stipe.

The stipe looks more brown than olive. I have a hunch this Tylopilus is probably not bitter. :)
