Observation 17491: Russula Pers.

Notes:
Cap pale, cream colored with dull pinkish blotches at center. Slightly lubricious (possibly viscid when fresh). Cap KOH negative, FeSO4 negative.

Lamellae white, abruptly adnexed. No lamellulae Light pink in ~15 seconds in 3% KOH.

Stipe off-white, nearly smooth. Fairly firm. KOH negative, gray-green to darker green in FeSO4.

Taste acrid, odor mild.

Spores: 8 × 6 μm. Finely, but somewhat densely spotty-reticulate. Reticulae incompletely connected.

Basidia rather fat. Cheilocystidia mucronate.
Pileocystidia narrowly cylindrical-stangulate, negative in sulphovanillin.
