Observation 175465: Leptogium (Ach.) Gray

When: 2014-08-23

Collection location: Serra de São Mamede, Portugal [Click for map]

Who: zaca

No specimen available

Notes:
Small infertile specimen (I suppose with 2.5-3cm across), not collected. Thallus constituted by somewhat thick lobes, contorted and wavy, dull, wrinkled and clearly striated at the margins; Some lobes present globose laminal isidia, that becomes more or less coralloide at the margins; From the small pieces visible of the underside one may infer to be tomentose there.

Thanks for your concern, but I think this one to be a jelly lichen of the genus Leptogium rather then a jelly fungus like the one you proposed.
