Pisolithus is a widely mycorrhizal species, especially in California. It is currently believed that eucalyptus-mycorrhizal Pisolithus are a separate group of Pisolithus from those that are native to California. For that reason is it important to give the possible host trees, and if possible, how distant they are from their mycorrhizal hosts.
