These do look somewhat like small examples of A. acericola. But I believe I have found two things that lead away from this ID. First, the caps seen here are radially wrinkled. Second, and more importantly, the spores seen here are too narrow for A. acericola.

I usually find A. acericola during the fall. So hopefully I’ll soon have some material to examine. For one, I’d like to see the color of the spore print at various stages of thickness. The print color I have reported for this obs is rusty brown, which does not seem to match Agrocybe in general. But it may have been a thin print. Looking at micros of acericola spores they are not all that dark.
