Microphotographs show long, knobby, tortuous pleurocystidia, sarcodimitic trama, and long, strangulate-stalked basidia.
Inamyloid, broadly elliptical spores 6.5 μm long x 4.5 μm wide, with fairly obvious hilar appendage.
Herbarium specimen is very poor. Gilbert Lab, UCSC.
Incrusted pileocystidia with abundant clamp connections. (1000x)
Lamellar trama – note long, smooth, aseptate skeletal hypha. This indicates a sarcodimitic hyphal system.
