This was growing in an area with douglas fir and madrone all by it’s lonesome. The pileus is 13 cm across and the stipe is 7 cm from the ground to the apex. It flares at the base and had flecks of something veil-like around it. Without really digging it up I couldn’t determine if there was a volva underground. The surface of the pileus seems to be covered in fine hairs and feels dry. Gills are brown.
