Notes:
Beautiful, almost fully mature(note chocolate brown spore deposit on top and base of stem) reishi fruiting from extremely rotten Western Hemlock stump. Soft as a marshmallow, with deep red and yellow varnish on cap. Soft leading edge still rounded and fluffy.

Odor: pleasantly “polypore-esque” with a triterpene/terpene profile similar to pine and drying paint.

Pore structure measured in mm. with small ruler in final image.

NOTE: 4 to 5 pores per mm in final image.

Elevation: sea level.

Temp: mid 70’s.
