thin continous brownish crust, K+y, lots of black round discose sessile black-rimmed apothecia some umbonate, epihymenium olive-black, exciple dark brown, hypothecium dark brown, hymenium hyaline to greenish above and reddish below, paraphyses branched and anastomosing with dark brown pigment cap, ascus large and irregular withthin K/I+ blue cap, spores 8 per ascus hyaline to brown at overmaturity septate broadly halonate ~20-25×9-11um
