Growing on ground under red oak. Cap is minutely hairy under the hand lens. Gills are whitish and adnate with some cross veining. Whitish cobwebby partial veil. Stem whitish at the apex with orange fibers below and orange rhizomorphs. KOH turns cap surface dark red and cap flesh paler red. Mild odor and taste.
