Not sure I like this one, the discription of C. alboviolaceus is something more airy, and willowy. This one is a chunk, wider than tall. But it is dry everywhere, blue-purple-grey just about everywhere, with some brown on the cap. Big old bulb on it.
There are some notes in Arora on perhaps other species, I need to do more research on this one, because I find it every year, and still not confident on what it is.
I think C. glaucopus is better for these, but I need to find more and be more careful on these.
Based on the photos I would put this in the C. glaucopus group.
