I find lots of these around here, usually in rings or clusters. The unusual thing about this collection is that the masses of fungal flesh seen in the last photo apparently show an aborted form of this mushroom. The cluster of flesh was found adjacent to fully developed mushrooms, and the flesh of these aborted bodies had the same sweetish odor.
