When: 2009-02-26

Collection location: Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

Notes:
These were growing on horse dung and had black spores and whitish gill edges. Most everything fits although the cap edges were not obviously appendiculate(conditions were wet) and my measurement of the spores were a little shorter on length (approx 11.5 cm vs 12-18cm in references).

This mushroom is a Psathyrella rather than Panaeolus for the same reasons that observation 18369 is a Psathyrella.
Neat mushroom though!!
