This is just as bright in person as in the photos! Scattered in loose clusters in leaves and moss in high-elevation lenga forest; CAP 3-5 cm, rather irregular, shiny, dry, smooth, often radially split as shown in photo; STIPE not bulbous, pale yellow, shiny-silky-striate with some fine brown fibrils in bottom half, brown ring zone, solid, small/short white rhizomorphs at base; FLESH pale buff, unchanging; ODOR none; GILL buff; VEIL thin cortina (pale); SPORE rusty brown (where?).
