Substrate: Growing on twig of an ornamental bush, 1 m above the ground.

Habitat: Park-like area with lawn and scattered ornamental bushes bordering a parking lot and remnant of eastern deciduous woodland with introduced ornamental trees as well.

medulla: C+ red, K-, KC+ reddish orange → yellow

Characterization: ruffled lichen with
(1) exceptionally broad and smooth marginal lobes without marginal setae;
(2) thin band of farinose soredia along thallus lobe margins
(3) undersurface broadly white, with well-defined but shallow ridges and veins and few rhizines;
(4) prominently crisped margins
