Polypore, had begun to degrade so was not harvested. Approx size of my palm. Offset, very short practically nonexistent stem. Unknown color of pore surface when fresh. Was becoming brown/black with beetles. Found on a small decaying evergreen in a field. My first mushroom find. Id not post here except for the how beautiful this mushroom was

Im an amateur with mushrooms and just starting to study trees. Unfortunately i do not know which type of tree it was growing on. Also the interior flesh was severely degraded from bugs which is. Why i did not bother taking a picture of the pore surface or flesh. Thank you for the observations they look pretty close to what i have found. In hoping to fund more specimens this weekend or next year because it was truly beautiful in person and i would like to get a definite id
