But I stand by my (tentative) id. I do think both obs could be Placynthiella uliginosa

I had another observation of this species, just hundred or so yards away (but on different background) – see observation 89100. Thomson says in Lichens of Wisconsin: …it is frequent in sand barrens… And this location is called Mazomanie Barrens. Will have an ID double-checked…

Those black things look like apothecia…
