Recognized by sight: Saxicolous, yellowish-green (‘usnic-yellow’), foliose lichens include Arctoparmelia, Xanthoparmelia, and some Flavoparmelia. Arctoparmelia and Flavoparmelia never have the darkened lobe-tips or shiny upper surface seen in the photo. The thalli are probably a bit too immature to identify to the species level, so Xanthoparmelia sp. it is!.
Used references: Photos and comments in ‘Lichens of North America’ (Brodo et al., 2001).
