extremely short stipe; fruit bodies knocked off log and lying on ground, probably had their pore surfaces rained on, possibly discolored.spore=print pending.

at least it looks like .. I am not familiar with polypores in North America tho … maybe there are also indigenous ones over there like in agaricales? if not, I would call it P.varius too
