-found Cirios Pacific Coast, few miles north of Punta Blanca
-no vegetation or insects around
-found on dried animal droppings
-around rocky/volcanic soil
-color consistency of spray paint

but naming would not allow “mineral”, “salt”, “bacteria”, or “artifact”.

Looks more mineral, like malachite-azurite

It doesn’t look fungal. Maybe a sulfur bacterial species. Reminds one of the hot springs bacteria in Yellowstone Park.
