Recognized by sight: a cool little orange stalked asco (designed like a fairy fan in shape, but growing on wood) with apparent perithecia (dimples on fertile surface of “head”). and yes, i know there’s a slime mold too; in fact my camera kept wanting to focus on it! darned myxos…;)
