Observation 199218: Lactarius Pers.

When: 2013-11-15

Collection location: Larksville, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Phil Yeager (gunchky)

No specimen available

Notes:
Small mushroom with subdeccurent close gills. Latex white, and I didn’t observe any changes at the time these were picked. No notes on taste of latex or flesh color or odor. Found under Pinus virginiana an I believe there are some betula nearby but I’m not sure because I haven’t been in this particular area in some time. Those Pine needles are between 1.5-3" long and may aid in determining the size of this species.
