Reminiscent of M. holoporphyria, but growing in an uncharacteristically clustered habit. Also shows significantly lighter pilei, though hygrophanity-induced “opaque-ing” of the cap surfaces was surely accelerated by the dry conditions in which these were observed.
Substrate: on leaf litter and rotting debris in soil beside trail.
Habitat: public park trail
Ecoregion: Alta Paraná Atlantic Forests (NT0150)
Collectors: E. Grassi, D. Newman, V. Silva & V. Vignale
