Observation 20189: Amanita gemmata group

When: 2009-04-09

Collection location: Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

Specimen available

This specimen was growing along a trail under Bishop pine. The spores were not amyloid in Melzers and their average size was approx. 10.2 X 6.9 microns, making them too small for A. breckonii.
I tried to use “Amanita gemmata group” but this time it was not accepted.
