that material could be the remains of a disappearing partial veil.

I’m wondering about what appears to be some material deposited on the upper stipe.

Usually, albocreata has more white on the cap.

The “maize yellow” color is more restricted to the center of the cap.

Were there any Tsuga canadensis or Abies balsamea nearby?
