White cup shaped fungus; terrestrial in soil among moss by Oak. Cup 7mm dia. × 4mm high. Stipe 7-8 mm long x 1.5-2mm wide, white. No spore print and terrible photos. Specimen available if desired for a few weeks.

It’s a colloquial way of saying cup or disc fungus. Without microscopy, it’s somewhat hopeless. You could try Ascofrance.

it was found under an Oak Tree there could be an acorn cup in the ball of dirt. Don’t know if I still have it in my garage.
