it’s a Tricholoma

and a undescribed species. Karl Soop has found it before and Brandon Matheny had a picture of it or something very similar from the north island.

I think this is a Tricholoma. were there any rhizomorphs, indicating Armillaria? Were they on the ground? The notched gills look like Tricholoma also, somewhere in the section Genuinae, with T. caligata. the smell seems to indicate something close to that.
