This observation was made in three steps:
1- First I looked to a recent post by Jason of Polysporina simplex (observation 208851) and had the feeling of “deja vu”; I looked into my files and found what I was looking for: Photos of a similar specimen, with which I created this observation;
2 – Today I could read the description of that species in the British Flora; All seemed to be OK.
3 – Fortunately, I had a very small sample and made the correspondent microscopy: BINGO.

With my current equipment I’m unable to measure so small spores; According to the British Flora, the dimensions for the spores of Polysporina simplex are: 3-5(5.5) x 1-1.5 um.
