Not completely sure about these. They are kinda like H. russula and H. purpurascens. They were found under conifers and D. fir, and are not streaky, so not H. russula. And they are fairly thin stalked and dark for H. purpurascens. There was a note in Arora under H. purpurascens about H. erubescens and a thin stalked form that apears in our area… so we went with that.
