While the soredial texture appears to put it into genus Lepraria, there is an odd thing about it: there are structures formed on the outlying areas of thallus that look like it could be some sort of Pertusaria to the naked eye – lumps and bumps that look solid. However, under closer examination, they’re as soft as the center of soredial mass, except they don’t have an appearance of soredia.
