Observation 21649: Cladonia bellidiflora (Ach.) Schaerer

When: 2008-08-10

Collection location: Lost Lake, Whistler, British Columbia, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Daryl Thompson (woobs)

No specimen available

I ask Trevor Goward about this specimen, because it differs from the form of C bellidiflora I see so frequently on the coast (Whistler has a little continental influence). He thought it was surely C bellidiflora, but once saw a C. metacorallifera similar to this. Sorry no sample was collected, I would have been days collecting in this area and time was short as it was a BioBlitz. I included it here to show the variation in C. bellidiflora, compare 21640
