Notes:
Growing on Cladonia and moss on open talus slope below limestone cliff.

THALLUS K+ weakly yellow, C+ red in places (especially rim around apothecia),
KC+ briefly pink fading yellowish
APOTHECIA epihymenium and cortex of exciple POL+ bright brown, hypothecium dark brown, all parts K-
SPORES 4 per ascus, brown, muriform, elliptical, smooth, ~25 × 12.5 µm

(This species establishes as a parasite on Cladonia species, but soon spreads beyond its host.)
