Notes:
A solitary specimen fruiting in grass under very dry conditions. Tree associates: pine, oak and Sweet Gum. Cap: 6 cm., with narrow band of sterile tissue at rim, viscid. Pore surface bruised reddish-brown. Stem: 2 cm. X 1.3 cm. at apex, tapering toward base, sienna glandular dots and smears darkening with age over pale yellow, flesh unchanging when cut. Ammonia on pores instant orange-red. KOH on pores reddish changing quickly to grayish-black with a pinkish halo. Spore print ochraceous/sienna.
