Observation 22488: Ganoderma P. Karst.

When: 2009-06-23

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
Some sort of conk, perhaps, just getting its start in life atop a stump in Zone 11. The sheer diversity of tree species there, combined with the loss of bark on the stump, means the wood can probably not be identified.
