Amazing bolete, had no idea the ID. David Fischer eventually found it. Very little info available, and every reference I could find claimed “unknown” for edibility. is an excellent way to expedite poisoning and/or death from mushroom consumption. Intuition of any sort is not a replacement for accurate, informed identification.
