-4.5 cm wide x 4.5 cm high x 2.5 cm deep
-Fruit body well rounde3d, like half a globe attached to tree.
-Pileus rosy brown/grey, minutely pitted. Band of golden felt material approx 1cm thick, then pores of similar gold color.
-Pores: Deep brown when looking directly into them, glancing gold when turned. Round, 3-4 per mm, 2 mm deep. Interior of tube almost black.
-Context deep red brown/black. Black with KOH
Odor: sweet
Ecology: on oak
Spores: 4-6um x 3×4 um
