Location: Backyard under oak behind patio
Habitat: oak woodland
Substrate: duff
Cap: 12 cm w x 2 cm thick; planar, wavy, mild odor, lightly zonate
Pores/Gills: gills, adnate, close together (and wavy) toward the center, cream color, watery white latex, no yellowing
Stalk: 8 cm h x 2.5 cm thick; white, solid, smooth, dry
Spores: creamy white
Notes: Growing under Q. agrifolia in a partial ring.


Growing gregariously in an arc or partial ring
faintly zonate
White latex, unchanging color, but stained gills brown
white latex did not change color
3 days after my first observation the colors (cap & gills) certainly became dingier.
