Observation 22986: Cantharellus lateritius (Berk.) Singer

found growing on hill side under white oak. Next to the ones in the pic are buried ones that i found very close by pic #2. Taste pleasant and smells like apricots.

Doesn’t look like the veined hymenium of Cantharellus cibarius, are you sure it’s not another, lateritius perhaps?
