Observation 23084: Hygrocybe (Fr.) P. Kumm.
When: 2009-07-10
Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]
Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)
No specimen available
Notes:
Ah, these lovelies are fruiting again, down in the damp of Zone 06, which is an area with some large old hardwoods (white and yellow birch particularly) and creeks running into the river. I still haven’t seen the even smaller orange ones, though they were fruiting prolifically in these kinds of low damp areas by this time last year.
