Took these photos of young Gastroboletus turbinatus to confirm fruiting before Dr. Michael A. Castellano comes from Corvallis to take high-speed photos of the bluing of cut surfaces. Dr. Castellano tells me he has a high-speed digital camera capable of taking 6 photos per second, which we hope will capture the rapid change.
