In oak dominated mixed hardwoods. Cap color is grayish with flattened tufts of black hairs. Gills, stalk, and flesh all show violaceous tint. No clue on this one… can’t find anything close in any of my manuals.

completely missing from the cap surfaces of these two small specimens. That seems to be the interesting feature.
