Observation 23377: Russula Pers.

When: 2009-07-20

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
In almost the exact center of Zone 48, at the side of the only trail in it, about midway between where that trail crosses into Zone 47 (east) and there it branches into Zones 49, 50, and 51 (west). There were two of them, both hemispherical and a bit smaller than a golf ball; one was overturned and missing its stipe when I found it, so I simply photographed both without further disturbing them.
