A trail walk along a very heavily forested area called Sproule Creek Trails, Nelson, British Columbia.

This was the only brightly colored blue-green mushroom, growing at the base of a felled tree among moist mosses along this trail, located in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, that I saw there. And this trail was absolutely full of many kinds of mushrooms that I’ve never seen so prevalent in any other walk that I’ve taken.

If you’d like, you can also see this and others online at my Flickr account. Any assistance finally clearing up what this mushroom was, is very appreciated!

I’ve had this picture a number of years and have not been able to get the identity of what these blue-green mushrooms are. I’ve never seen these since. I wish I’d take more close-up shots of it, but of the two pictures I took, this is as close as I got.
