Observation 235230: Corticiaceae sensu lato

This crust fungus was found on fallen oak branches. The fruiting body is resupinate to the branch. The fruiting body was smooth in texture and gray in color when collected. The margins are paler in color than the interior. No spore print could be obtained, however I recently took some scrapings of the fungus and found a spore. Spore was melanized, oblong in shape, and septated.

400x magnification using a light microscope.
Observed under dissecting scope.
